Machine Operator/Light Mechanics

Reports To:  Plant Maintenance Mgr

 

Description

We are looking for a Machine Operator/Light Mechanics who will report directly to our Plant Maintenance Mgr.

Responsibilities

      Main Machine Operator:

• operate packaging machinery, and production machinery

• Setup machine for startup, troubleshoot operating errors

• Mechanics knowledge on safe operating procedures

• Follow PM schedule and record in PM binder to keep track of each equipment operating conditions

 

     Improve PRODUCTION by:

• Producing timely and accurate component work instructions, with quality checkpoints

• Producing integrated build plans for products, with quality checkpoints

• Training production leads and verifying key quality checkpoints

• Incorporating feedback for improved product quality with improved process efficiency and component cost savings

 

• Keep and update maintenance records/logs for all equipment

• Produce timely and accurate reports for department and for the company

• May require working some evenings or weekends

 

Important Skills / Capabilities

• Effective communicating with peers and reporting to managers

• Knowledgeable of machinery operating safety procedures and manufacturing best practices, and able to quickly learn about a wide variety of commercial and industrial equipments

• Coachable with ability or potential to coach others

•  2+ years of experience

• Improvement for cost savings in operating and prolong equipment life span
