Harvest Food Products began manufacturing high quality Asian foods in 1982. The owners, Chau and Khai Kha, were Chinese immigrants who brought to this country authentic recipes and seasoned expertise in the production of traditional Oriental food.
 
With energy and enthusiasm, out of their Richmond District Asian Foods store, they began a new business, manufacturing a variety of Asian delicacies. With success, they converted their market’s storage space into a plant, secured USDA approval, and began producing and packing their first products: Potstickers, Meatballs, and Flower Rolls.
 
By creating common Asian dishes in the traditional manner, Harvest Foods found an immediate market for its products in Asian groceries and restaurants throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. To this day, Harvest Foods still believes that its early success is attributed to the authentic flavors, easy preparation, and attractive presentation of their dishes.
 
Now under the guidance of Danny and Connie Kha, the company has built upon their parents’ vision by modernizing the production facility, developing a customer service department and increasing marketing efforts. In 2004, Harvest Food acquired Eggroll Fantasy Inc., which brought creative and traditional items such as high end gourmet eggrolls and Asian appetizers to the food service market. With an ever expanding market share, Eggroll Fantasy focuses on food service, club stores, school districts, retail grocery chains, and proprietary chain business.

In addition, to meet national demand, Harvest Foods moved into a state-of-the-art processing facility in Hayward, CA. This new plant with additional freezer storage, docking stations and top of the line technology affords Harvest Foods the opportunity to supply and fuel current growth.

The company’s products are annually reviewed and inspected by an independent testing service, Silker Labs, and have consistently received high ratings.
